Not as good as they could be in my opinion. Maps pretty small!
Also almost to Rank 100!!!
Goose can you image BF4 score 8,402,593? But then BF3 16,450,521, guess I have a way to go!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Once you get above rank 100 it takes 200K per level! UYK!

Well as the rank goes up so does the points required my next level requires 500,000!
We wanted to provide a quick update on the issues with Battlefield 4 “rubber banding” that some players on certain platforms have experienced during matches with 64 players.
Think they are politely trying to say if you don't have a really strong computer you may have issues. If I get into a game with several players with high pings 250 + I see it once in awhile.
______________________________________________________________ Netcode issues - seems they lump a lot of things under netcode not mentioning players computer hardware , internet connection speed, number of players worldwide, I think they are doing good. I don't see a lot of these issues although there are times when things happen that makes no sense. -------------------------------------------------------------------- We at DICE are committed to improving the overall Battlefield 4 multiplayer experience for our players. Some issues, commonly referenced in conjunction to “netcode” are preventing Battlefield 4 from performing optimally for everyone, and with this post we would like to explain what we are doing to address these problems. Fixing the commonly nicknamed “netcode issues” – problems ranging between faulty networking latency compensation and glitches in the gameplay simulation itself – is one of the top priorities for DICE. We’d like to take a moment to discuss how we are addressing these issues, as this is a very hot topic for many of our fans. We are working on fixing glitches in your immediate interactions with the game world: the way you move and shoot, the feedback when you’re hit, and the way other players’ actions are shown on your screen. The game receives updates from the game server and displays these to the player using a system called latency compensation – this system makes sure players move around naturally on your screen when network updates arrive. We have found and fixed several issues with latency compensation, and thereby decreased the impressions of “one hit kills” in the game. We have also fixed several issues that could lead to rubber banding, and we are working on fixing several more. Below you’ll find a detailed list of the issues we are focusing on, or have already adjusted in-game. We hope this gives you more insight into the “netcode” issues and we will continue to keep you updated on top issues.
What we are Fixing or Investigating Rubber banding We have made several server optimizations that have decreased rubber banding for some players. To further address the issue, there are upcoming fixes for packet loss and a customize screen bug, both connected to the rubber banding issue. Furthermore, we will continue to collect data to pinpoint exactly when and why rubber banding is occurring. Kill camera delay / Player death sync On some occasions, the kill camera would trigger before the game client displayed the last portion of damage being dealt, giving players the impression that they died too early. There were also issues with blood effects, damage indicators, and the health bar in the HUD being out of sync. A fix for this will be included in the next game update. Tickrate Players have been asking whether the tickrate – how often the server will update the game world – in Battlefield 4 will be higher in the future. Though we haven’t got any immediate plans to increase the tickrate at this moment, we are exploring the possibilities of raising the tickrate on specific servers. No registered damage We are aware of the bug where players have been firing at their opponent and not doing damage. In the February 13 game update for PC, we added a piece of code that enables us to specifically track instances where this would occur. We are currently looking at when this issue is triggered, and what causes it. The data that we receive will help us to further improve the firefights in the future. Instant death while sprinting At certain occasions while walking or sprinting, a player could get catapulted at high speed which would cause death if any object was standing in the way. This was caused by a mathematical error in the character physics code, and we have a fix prepared for an upcoming patch. Various Items In addition to these items, there are also fixes coming for issues with Levolution being out of sync, shots appearing to be fired in the wrong direction, and vehicles outside the infantry area not taking damage when fired at. Also, we have introduced new in-game icons that will help you, and us, to troubleshoot network related problems that could cause an inconsistent multiplayer experience. Network Troubleshooting Icons With the January 30-31 game updates, we’ve introduced two new icons to the Battlefield 4 HUD (head-up display). These were added to the game as a way for us, and the players, to more easily troubleshoot common network-related issues that may have negative effects on the multiplayer experience.
I haven't seen this one
The first icon, seen at the top in the shape of a clock, indicates that your connection to the server is lagging. There can be several reasons for this. For example, it could mean that someone else is using your connection while you are playing, but it could also mean that there is a network problem that occurred somewhere between you and the server. The effect of such lag is that it will take a bit longer for you to see what is happening in the game world. If this icon is frequently blinking, you might want to try a different server or see if you can decrease the load on your Internet connection.
I see this a few times a day haven't related it to other players ping yet
The second icon, at the bottom, shows four squares that indicate packet loss. When you see this icon, your connection to the server is experiencing lost packets, which means that information is failing to reach its destination, either when your game client sends it to the server or when the server sends the information to you. Please keep in mind that packets always get lost on the Internet and that you should not be alarmed if you’re seeing this icon blinking once or twice. If you have a large amount of packet loss and see the icon often, you will probably experience game “hiccups” sometimes – action will stop for a moment, then speed ahead to catch up.

One exciting feature of the upcoming Battlefield 4 Naval Strike expansion is the Carrier Assault game mode, where two opposing teams launch attacks on each others aircraft carriers. To explain the ins and outs of Carrier Assault, we hand over to lead gameplay designer Gustav Halling. stages Carrier Assault is an homage to the Titan game mode of Battlefield 2142, but this time the all-out war rages in the South Chinese Sea, and your objective is to destroy the enemy team’s carrier before they infiltrate and destroy yours. Our goal has been to make Carrier Assault a really engaging game mode, and we truly believe the amount of variety present each round will assure this. You start out fighting a big-scale war with sea, land, and air vehicles controlling the map, and then everything evolves into an infantry-focused, close quarter fight inside both carriers at the same time! Carrier Assault Explained So how is a match of Carrier Assault played out? There are two ways of destroying the enemy carrier: either by full map control or assaulting the carrier as infantry. Each round is divided into 2 stages, starting with map control and ending with carrier attack. Both teams start on their own carrier and race to control the missile launchers placed on the map, by capturing the control points near them. This will automatically launch missiles towards the enemy carrier throughout the round, eventually destroying its hull and making it open for infantry attacks. When this happens for one or both teams, the carrier assault state is started. The team can then either drive a boat out to the carrier and climb aboard, or use the parachute spawn points above it. Once inside, the team must destroy two M-COM stations, which will open up new areas to the carrier, with the engine room being the final one. Destroying the two M-COM’s, or bringing down the carrier hull’s health to 0%, will win the match for your team. An Hommage to a Classic Game Mode Battlefield 2142 and Titan mode veterans will feel right at home with Carrier Assault, with the unique focus of giving players several options to win the match – either through map control or close quarter fighting inside the enemy HQ. The differences in setting and time period do however make Carrier Assault a fresh experience, and we hope you will get the same thrill out of parachute-spawning down to a carrier as you did when blasting off in a rocket pod towards a Titan.

Four all-new maps focused on intense naval warfare await you in Battlefield 4 Naval Strike. To give you a detailed tour of these wet and wild vistas, we hand over to lead gameplay designer Gustav Halling. The four all-new maps in Battlefield 4 Naval Strike were designed with a simple premise in mind: to expand on what players loved with the naval warfare from Battlefield 4. It’s our hope you’ll enjoy the new maps immensely, whether you’re trying out the new Carrier Assault mode or piloting the new Hovercraft. Naturally, we have also crafted the surroundings with infantry and non-naval vehicles in mind. So without further ado, let’s go through the four maps of Naval Strike.
Lost Islands Starting with Lost Islands, this map focuses around a crashed airplane located near the center of the map. The map itself contains several small islands surrounding the crash site that can be traversed using quad bikes around the whole map, or by using boats (including the new hovercraft) to take shortcuts across it. The key to master this map is to control the plane at the crash site, which can be blown open to give infantry some much needed cover. Another special area of this map is the cave blanketed by a waterfall, as it provides visual cover for patrolling boats and helicopters.
Nansha Strike Nansha Strike is a very boat heavy map with several bases spread out in the water to battle it out on, while at the same time allowing total infantry control of the middle areas. The central area provides a lot of cover for infantry and is a death trap for water vehicles if they try to enter it via the small rivers. The surrounding bases can be captured from the water, with some offering big bases in the middle of the sea for infantry. This is where the more powerful vehicles spawn, which makes them key to own and control.
Wave Breaker Wave Breaker has a unique submarine base hidden in the middle mountain which allows for tight close quarter combat, but it also has wide canals where it’s possible to do drive-bys with the attack boats to add extra mayhem to the mix. The middle area has many different Levolution possibilities. You can for instance bring down a submarine from its support and turn off the lights in the surrounding corridors. It’s also possible to stop boats from entering the area by closing the four flood gates and blocking the direct path from the bases on the two sides. The middle island will give players intense fights in Deathmatch modes.
Operation Mortar Operation Mortar is our vacation paradise turned into a war zone, with wooden huts surrounding the islands. There is an old fort on the top of the mountain, which provides a great overview over the whole map. It also gives the team owning it a fast way to capture the other bases on the main island. In Rush, this levels starts from the bottom of the islands and goes up towards the fort, providing interesting and fun vertical gameplay which will provide a big challenge for attackers. Coming March 25 for Premium Members We hope you are excited to get hands-on with these new four maps and the full Battlefield 4 Naval Strike expansion when it becomes available on March 25. Remember to take the poll below and let us know which map you think will provide the best Battlefield battles via land, air and of course sea. Battlefield 4 Naval Strike is releasing first for Battlefield 4 Premium members on March 25.

Did you mean imagine a BF2 score of 8,402,593? No, I don't think I would have made anywhere close to that even if I played it daily since the game came out. Heck I can't even hardly play in our servers now due to daily connection problems.

From DICE As you know, we’ve been looking into resolving the “rubber banding” that some players on certain platforms have experienced with Battlefield 4 after the recent release of Naval Strike. We’ve found that the root cause of the issue was a configuration of certain hardware types dedicated to 64-player matches. We have invested in new hardware to resolve this issue and deployed new higher-performance servers this week. In preparation, we conducted a significant amount of testing before installing the new servers to ensure they would correct the issue. We are already seeing performance improvement with 64-player matches and expect this to continue. While the process took longer than we would’ve liked, we wanted to be 100% sure it was done right and that the long-term solution was properly in place. Our objective is to deliver the best player experience possible. We feel this solution helps us deliver that to you. Stay tuned to our official channels for more information.

Going into battle prepared is key to succeeding in Battlefield 4. With the new Loadout Presets, we’ve made it easier for you to quickly hit the Battlefield with the exact kit and vehicle Loadout of your choice. Prepared 4 Battle – Every Time Loadout Presets are a way to save kit or vehicle setups so that you can easily switch between them when going into a Battlefield 4 multiplayer match. With this time-saving feature, you no longer have to edit each slot individually in the Customize screen when you want to change your Loadout. Note that Loadout Presets will only be available on Battlelog in Battlefield 4, and not be reflected in-game. You apply Presets to your Loadout, which then follows you in-game when you save it. For example, those who want quick access to a “field engineer” Preset can create one of these with the MX4, SRAW, Repair Tool, and Mechanic specialization – or any other combination of the player’s choice. If you are more of a combat engineer, you might want to create a Preset with the M1014 shotgun, RPG, M2 SLAM, and Offensive specialization – it’s all up to you.
You can have two presets per kit and vehicle, or four if you’re a Battlefield 4 Premium member. This allows you to quickly switch between setups based off the map or game mode you’re loading into without wasting time going through the Customize screens in-game. Creating and Managing Loadout Presets Your Loadout Presets can be accessed through Battlelog as well as its mobile and tablet applications. Simply head to the Loadout section on Battlelog, and hit the Presets button that appears upon hovering over a kit or vehicle. Here you’ll be able to choose to save your existing kit/vehicle Loadout as a new Preset, or load an existing Preset. Additionally, Presets are accessible from a kit or vehicle page, next to the “Save” and “Reset” buttons You can have 2 Presets per kit and vehicle (or 4 if you’re a Premium user). The Preset you last chose will stay until you apply a new Preset or change your Loadout from Battlelog or in-game and will display the Preset name in the place of the kit or vehicle name.
Loadouts are available on Battlelog as well as on the mobile and tablet applications. If you head to the Presets Management page, accessible by clicking “Manage” from the Presets dropdown, you’ll get an overview of all the Presets you have created. Here, you can browse through your Presets, delete them, or apply a bunch of them before you save your Loadout. Rolling out on April 8 The Loadout Presets are rolling out with the Battlelog update on April 8. We will continue to tweak and add functions to the feature, based on your feedback and comments. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you think about the Loadout Presets, and we hope you will enjoy going into battle using the feature!

Larry , I was talking to Chris about assignments.
Me Bronze Assignments 17/32 Silver Assignments 11/24 Gold Assignments 3/21 Single Player Assignments 4/6
Can be found under your soldier profile /assignments tab.
Assignment 9 - I'm Dynamite
One specific assignment
Prerequisite - Eyes in the Sky
Here come those pesky bombers again. To earn this you will need to earn the Bomber Delivery ribbon 3 times, get 20 UCAV kills and score a multi-kill.
To get your bomber ribbon, the best map appears to be silk road as there are a lot of tanks to kill and give you an opportunity to kill 2 for 1. It takes 2 missiles to kill a tank in hardcore. A lot of players try to come to the middle base in the map where the bomber trailer is, so you may want to spam that area when you get the bomber and then give it a chance to reload. The other maps are a little harder to get multiple kills in a game, but once you get the cruise missile (15 bomb kills) you will also have another weapon available to you by hitting
If you are going to boost this, get 3-4 players on the other team to take a LAV or helicopter to a per-defined spot on the map and hit them hard with the bombs and you can cut down on the time for this I see from this that then new word for stat padding is " Boost" I saw in one post where you need three kills with a jet in one round for an award, so he got 2 other guys 1 medic and one supply , landed the plane in empty space, silk road map , pilot was a sniper to set recon point just in case. Then shot the player on the ground standing in front of jet. Then revive him and do it again and again until the assignment is completed. There are mixed emotions on the UCAV as it is very overpowered at this time (Since Patched). You can either fly it directly into people or use the remote detonation function and frag people with it. With the frag mode you will have an easier time killing people in hardcore
That being said not sure assignments mean much other than self gratification.

Another weapon I just found useful on maps like Silk road. I'd seen them around did know what they were. On maps they look like orange*. Silk road has several IFV vehicles like on A, so if you set two of these which will damage but not kill heli's , you can use vehicle to finish job. OR if a member on you squad has a stinger he can finish them. They also damaged a jet that was trying to kill me!
The Anti-Air Mine is a gadget introduced in the Battlefield 4: Naval Strike expansion. It is unlocked upon completion of the Death From Below assignment. It comes with a single-use surface-to-air missile that will track and lock onto enemy aircraft. When in range, the missile is automatically fired at the target, inflicting mobility damage. After firing, the remainder of the system self-destructs. The gadget may not be equipped together with any rocket launcher in the kit load out. Once deployed, the operator may not pick the gadget back up.[1]

BF4 In-Game Server Admin Commands
Currently all full WMD members have in-game admin on both of our BF4 servers. Do not abuse your admin powers (i.e. don't get ban happy). If pubbers are breaking server rules, try to use warnings / kicks / bans to enforce our rules, and in that order.
Admin commands must use one of the following prefixes:
! - Responses will be visible to everyone in the server (e.g. everyone will see "Draino has been kicked for repeated language issues") # - Responses will be visible only to admins on the server. Use this one when you are privately warning a pubber, and you don't need the rest of the server to see it.
In-Game Admin Commands
!kick Draino [reason for the kick] !tban Draino [reason for the temp. ban] (bans for 5 minutes) !ban Draino [reason for the ban] !kill Draino (does not hurt the person's stats when you use this command, great for removing glitched players, or players who are confused. I used this once to kill the bomb carrier on my obliteration team when he was carrying the bomb the wrong way since he had never played the mode before) !move Draino (moves the person to the other team. It will kill the player first if they are alive, but this will not hurt their kdr stats. Use this for to help autobalance the server. I use this on myself a lot.) !nextmap (immediately ends the round and moves to the next map on the rotation) !say [message] (gives an "admin says message" in the chat HUD - useful to warn people about language and such) !psay [playername] [message] (gives a private message only to the person listed - useful for private warnings) !scramble (kills all players and immediately scrambles the teams. Use this sparingly, and be sure to warn people in the server first) !scrambleround (scrambles teams at the end of the round) !map [mapname] (immediately changes the server to this map - see examples below).
Example 1: !map mp_Resort Obliteration0 1 (changes to hainan resort, Obliteration mode, one round). Example 2: !map mp_journey ConquestLarge0 1 (changes to Golmud Railway, Conquest Large mode, one round) Example 3: !map xp3_003 RushLarge0 2 (changes to Guilin Peaks, Rush mode, 2 rounds)
Game modes include: ConquestLarge, ConquestSmall, RushLarge, and Obliteration. See map names below.

List of Battlefield 4 Battle Pickup weapons These weapons can only be picked up on the map and cannot be equipped as standard. Each map has several different Battlefield 4 Battle Pickup weapons available. Each weapon continuously respawns throughout the match, however, only one can be used at the same time. The weapons that can be picked up are generally the most powerful ones found in the game. Battlefield 4 M82 Battlefield 4 USAS-12 Battlefield 4 M32 MGL

We’re happy to announce that we’ve released an update for PC, PS3, and X360 today containing the new improved “Netcode” for Battlefield 4. The update will be released later this week on PS4 and Xbox One. This update has been developed using the CTE (Community Test Environment) on PC (you can sign up if you haven’t done so already at http://cte.battlelog.com), and is the first update being deployed using your gameplay feedback. The number of changes possible in this update would be difficult to pull off without the continued support from our community, both through direct constructive feedback and telemetry data gathered on the CTE. High Frequency Network Update For the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, we are adding something we nicknamed the “High Frequency Bubble”. Within a certain radius of the player, we add the possibility to update the clients at a higher rate from the server. What this essentially means is that the server will update the client on what is happening more often than before. This normally results in a smoother, more “correct” player experience.
The High Frequency Update is by default turned OFF in this release. You will have to enable this setting to take advantage of the improved networking. To support players with a limited bandwidth connection, we support three different levels: LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH. Most players with a connection faster than 1Mbit upload and 1Mbit download should be fine using the HIGH setting. If you experience any issues, lower or turn off the setting completely. Playstation 4 and Xbox One Server Performance The High Frequency Update will be rolled out to all 48 player servers and on a small set of 64 player servers immediately. We will then keep a close eye on the larger servers to make sure server performance stays good in the live environment. If all goes well, all servers will be supporting the high frequency update after 24 hours or rollout and testing. PC Server Performance On PC the RSPs are responsible for enabling the feature at their discretion, we expect most to do so as soon as possible. Video Comparison When testing our “High Frequency Bubble” changes to the network layer in Battlefield 4, we made sure to employ a measurable end-user experience metric. To do this, we have been using a 60fps video camera to capture two clients connected over the internet, and counting frames to get before and after results:
Future Plans This is the first release to contain CTE-tested “Netcode” fixes and improvements. We are still hard at work with additional improvements and tweaks to better our network experience that did not make this release. We hope to utilize the Community Test Environment for future release to ensure quality and stability across all platforms. If you wish to take part in this testing, the CTE still has slots open. Here is massive list of little known tips and tricks that players should used to get upper hand in Battlefield 4 against enemy.
* Pressing E on a dead soldier when medic will automatically switch you to the defibrellator paddles and revive (brings back weapon after revive). - CryptiKau
* Shoot once and don't reload in the LAV to get an extra 12 rounds to regenerate in your ammo pool. - kahoona
* Press F5 and F6 on the attack boat to eject in a jet ski! - 1ildevil
* You can repair reactive armor... You use the repair tool on the side where the reactive armor has been blown off, and eventually the armor will reappear. (or) you may need to repair the vehicle past 100% - rdmx & Zapatopi
* F switches weapons in vehicles/boats. - Zeigy
* In BF4, you can't suffer from reload syndrome because every magazine you reload subtracts from your total ammo. If you noticed you run out of ammo so fast in BF4, that's why. * Mouse over enemy and hit Q to spot
* Double tap WW to run and you don't have to hold the shift key. Or set your sprint key to auto sprint, so that you don't have to hold any buttons
* There is a brand new cover mechanic that is explained very briefly in the first campaign mission. If you are crouched behind a bipod friendly cover object, you can just use the right mouse button to quickly peak your weapon over it in the ready position. Its much faster than toggling crouch and best yet is that you can center your reticle before hand to put a bead on a target very quickly.
* This is a no brainer that I missed some how. No more running around your starting area racing people for a chance to get into a vehicle. If you want a certain one, just wait in the deploy map before hitting deploy and click on the vehicle icon of what you want, you will spawn right in the drivers seat if its blue. You can also click on the grey icons to see what is available for use on that particular map.
* There is no compass in Hardcore modes, but if you look at the map early on and find the direction of the farthest objective, its much easier to discern location information via radio. When I hear there is a baddy to the west I just look for Objective C for instance via my UI, which I knew was East and do an about face.
* When you see "heavy enemy presence nearby" that's your commander telling you a cruise missle is about to drop on you. Run like hell.
* Call out objectives for your squad as a squadleader. Everyone gets more points / push if you have the objective marked. Everyone gets bonuses for following the order & killing people along the way. Roughly 200+ score per minute.
* You can actually hold a grenade with the pin pulled indefinitely. You can even put it away (without blowing your face off) by switching weapons while you have the pin pulled. Simply press the grenade throw button and then hold the fire button once the animation starts. Your soldier will stick his hand out like he's posing for the Highsman. Jumping will cause you to throw it, but having the pin pulled decreases the time needed to throw, although sprint is disabled.
* Also, this creates a dead man grenade as it drops at your feet if you die. Good for holding points or M-COMs.
* Accept orders given by the commander, even if you don't follow them. It makes for free points for both of you.
* Crouch while swimming and you will dive.
* The AK-12 and its carbine variant AKU-12 both have an increased RoF in burst fire mode.
* If your solider is "angled" behind cover, you can just press on the aim button (ADS) and it'll automatically "aim out" at your target. You can un-ADS to get back into cover. All of this without using your WASD (or moving) keys.
* Tap fire with belt-fed LMGs. Pretty much just 2-3 round bursts will help engage enemies at medium to long range.
* If you are out of rounds while using the mortar, just press and hold E to pick it up and re-deploy, your mortar will go back to full ammo.
* If you have an XP boost active while playing commander, you'll get the boost points but no time will be taken from the boosts duration.
* When you are a squadleader (star behind your name), you have the ability to command your squadmates to either defend or attack by looking at an objective and pressing 'Q'.
* On the deployment screen, double click a spawn point instead of having to press the deploy button.
* Flying choppers over areas can blow up dust to give cover to your guys capping points.
* you can zero your sniper rifle and DRM. This means adjusting your crosshair to a specific distance with bullet drop. Use the PLD and aim at your target to measure distance (RNG = range). Then press V (default key) with your sniper rifle, to configure the range of the shot.
* Double click on a tank to auto spawn, but realize you've forgotten to equip the repair tool? Click your gadget slot and you'll go to the equipment screen, take your time and get your repair tool out, and once you click deploy you'll auto spawn into the tank
* USAS-12 + frags battle pickup is the only super weapon in the game that can be resupplied with ammunition.
* E over a dead teammate as medic to auto switch to defibs and revive
*Holding down LMB with the defibrillator out will charge it. The longer you charge it, the more HP your rez will provide.
*Single click rez provides only 20% HP. You can charge the defib all the way up to a 100% rez. (2-3 seconds charging.)
*Downside: you can't sprint while charging the defib. However, if you're under fire, it's a much more reliable rez bringing someone up at 100% than rezzing at 20% and throwing a medpack at their feet so they slowly regen.
*Pressing 2 in the water will switch to your pistol.
* You can also repair vehicles while in the water.
*Using space bar instead of double clicking allows you to deploy as well.
